The Hills Have Eyes

Horror, Thriller

Director: Wes Craven

Release Date: July 22, 1977

If you have always wanted to see a film starring the tech genius from the CW’s Nikita, then The Hills Have Eyes is for you. I never saw the original, but if it is anything like the remake, I’ll be disappointed. It tries to push boundaries, but isn’t nearly as shocking as it aims to be. It shows fewer horrors than it alludes to. Deformed hillbilly cannibals are so 70s. A bunch of hooey with the aim of making boys into men as they defend themselves. The dog, Beauty, had the most character development. Also dear creators of movies & television, please let your characters heed their dogs’ warnings. Skip The Hills Have Eyes, and watch the season finale of Season 4 and Season 5 of The Walking Dead for real chills.
