Midnight Mass

Fiction / Horror, Fiction / City Life

Author: F. Paul Wilson

Publish Date: 17/04/2004

I briefly took a detour from F. Paul Wilson’s world of the Adversary Cycle to read his take on vampires in Midnight Mass. Midnight Mass tackles the popular subject of life during a vampire apocalypse and is an insanely quick read. The main human characters are a nun, a rabbi, a priest and a lesbian and initially feel like a setup for a joke, but nothing is funny here. Midnight Mass is far less civilized and bleaker than Del Torro’s The Strain trilogy, but no less enjoyable. A must read for vampire fans
