I never expected excellence, but I hung in there for the amazing Terry O’Quinn and the luminous Vanessa Williams. The plot would introduce what seemed to be a pivotal character then unceremoniously drop it. It was unclear who Gavin really was, how much his wife was in on his nefarious nature and what his power source was. 666 Park Avenue suffered from the bland, demographically inoffensive main lead (think Once Upon A Time) surrounded by more riveting characters. The constant vague allusions to conspiracies that were never answered became annoying. In the end, ABC was right to pull the show, but I may check out the book to see if it is an adaptation gone wrong or doomed from the beginning.
