The Two Lovers is so realistic that it is somewhat uncomfortable to watch. Dude who is supported & lives with his parents attracts normal woman who wants to take care of him & crazy woman who psychologically uses him. You’ll know how this works out from the beginning, but somehow it is still interesting to watch. Paltrow resumes her role as Estrella (Great Expectations reference), well, a low-rent Estrella.
