Time Zero: The Last Year of Polaroid Film is a 90 minute documentary predominantly about former employees, executives and photographers’ reaction to the closing of the Polaroid Corporation. While Time Zero: The Last Year of Polaroid Film is interesting because the film breaks down the tactile and unique experience of customers with the product, it can be repetitive. Whenever a security employee alluded to a more interesting story involving Polaroid and secrecy, the filmmakers did not explore further, which was a missed opportunity in exchange for a reverie of nostalgia and hipster hope to restart creating the film. Time Zero: The Last Year of Polaroid Film is not a must see unless you’re a fan of shaking it like a Polaroid picture (song was not referenced in the film, which was another missed opportunity).
