The Sorrow and the Pity is very difficult to watch- not because not good, but because any complicity with Nazi agenda still outrages me. France willingly seeks peace with Nazis, but outraged that a former ally, the British, would offer their sailors the chance to fight under UK flag, refuses to take their boats to a neutral harbor & then is outraged when boats are bombed & more offended by that than occupation & the evils committed thereafter. Every person living in an area influenced by Western civilization should see this film!
