Phyllis and Harold

Documentary

Director: Cindy Kleine

Release Date: February 19, 2010

Where to Watch

Phyllis and Harold aims for Crazy Love style of documentary, but falls short by a lot because instead of real life characters/rascals in unbelievable situations, this film focuses on a cliche real life scenario and focuses on an extremely unlikable, unspectacular woman with delusions of grandeur and extremely selfish. Either be happy with the life you choose OR choose a different life, but stop glorifying the different life that you could NEVER have because a certain married man never liked you and spent his entire life never openly acknowledging you while simultaneously exploiting the man that you ARE married to and treating him with disdain. Her husband is clueless and just thinks that is how wives are. Her children are unloved and reduced to supporting actors in her affair. The filmmaker plays a role in the film and only comes alive in the presence of the woman who raised her, not her mother. The film structure unfolds awkwardly.
