Money does not cure loneliness for this forgotten & tragic character who has no home, no rest & no security. Jerichow really captures what the other versions, including Ossessione, does not: the husband as an immigrant & foreigner. Set in rural Germany, one of the least hospitable places to be an immigrant, the husband is from Turkey. Brilliant!
