The Final Countdown has a great idea & cast, but mediocre or dated execution. I would NOT recommend this film for anyone who watched the documentary, Carrier, because instead of being in awe of one of the main characters of the film, the aircraft carrier, you will be busy comparing it with its more recent counterparts. Would be a great candidate for a remake.
