Forget Boys Don’t Cry! See The Brandon Teena Story. It was worse & the police force was even more horrifying because they are supposed to protect people, but instead the way that the officer interviewed Brandon Teena after the rape was so disgusting, it was almost like the cop had a prurient interest & was virtually raping the victim. Just awful. There will always be ignorant, hateful psychos who rape & kill, but when the authorities show no respect, decency or kindness to victims, then they will have to answer to God for failing to uphold their responsibilities. Unfortunately there is a term for this kind of rape: “corrective rape” There were some decent people in Brandon’s life who loved him unconditionally, but unfortunately not as many as were needed.
