Where to Watch

Don’t let the cheeky title fool you. Even though Blood and Donuts uses the trope of the vampire that doesn’t want to hurt people & has overtly absurd elements, the story is sweet & simple and the acting really worked. There was one scene where there are no lines-just the vampire & a homeless man looking at each other going through a wide array of emotions. David Cronenberg even plays a role! At first, I wondered if it was a Canadian rip off of Innocent Blood, but it was a much stronger movie. There is even an aural allusion to Christopher Walken which will either annoy or delight you.
