Black Hawk Down’s legacy is secure–it is still the best movie that focuses on people in combat while remaining accurate. Act of Valor uses actual Navy SEALs, but I would rather see a documentary that focuses on what they actually do as opposed to this glorified, wooden, one dimensional recruiting infomercial. I really blame the script. The villains are so cartoonish that there was an actual scene of an arms dealer playing a violin while his henchmen make weapons. The most promising moment was when a Navy SEAL interrogator shows what he does, but it doesn’t last. A disappointment. Gee, I wonder what will happen to the guy who has a pregnant wife at home. Sorry I’ve seen Boyz N’ The Hood & Cooley High.
