The struggle between the mind & the heart. The mind has seen a million movies so the plot twists are not as surprising as they could be, especially if you were paying attention to Inception & think of the importance of casting; the politics were a little queasy in light of the current political environment; & the suspension of disbelief strains slightly as medical science is hurled out the window (ex. push ups can mend a broken back). The heart doesn’t care & just goes, “This is freakin’ awesome!” The heart wins & I kind of hate myself a bit for it. I now want to rewatch the whole trilogy on DVD & when I reach The Dark Knight Rises, I’m going to need to put on the subtitles. Trigger warning for evoking 9/11.
