Townie: A Memoir is a very hard book to read because the subject matter was so close to life: children of divorce, how to deal with a father who doesn’t parent, how to deal with anger without destroying yourself or those around you, whether art is worth it or a waste. Felt like it would never end & I’m happy that Andre Dubus emerged at the other side largely whole.
