Food, Inc.

Documentary, News

Director: Robert Kenner

Release Date: July 31, 2009

Was it a good documentary? Yes, but I feel like documentaries such as Food, Inc. end up preaching to the choir, i.e. people who already know this information (& have read books like Fast Food Nation) as opposed to converting people who consume these items and are looking for this information. Somehow this message needs to be popularized & given to a broader audience. When one woman proudly says that she never set foot in a Walmart, I thought that was the problem. We need to get to the woman who does & the film touches on that untapped market when focusing on a mother who lost her son to a contaminated hamburger. I think that people like her need to make these films because we don’t get it.
