Vampire Prosecutor Season 1

Where to Watch

Law & Order with more of a bent towards the murder mystery aspect & be aware of the unreliable narrator or reenactment before thinking that you understand who did it in mostly standalone episodes, but each episode advances the main story of the titular character’s story and is satisfying. These vampires have no aversion to sunlight, but don’t worry, they don’t sparkle, and being a vampire only gives them a few advantages. Vampire Prosecutor Season 1 has a great sense of humor in poking fun at familiar genres while mostly sticking to a formulaic format to give the audience some stability. The 70s style music as recently embraced by Scandal and the great chemistry of the standing cast underscores the show’s witty wink at the absurdity of the premise. Vampire Prosecutor is too cute for words and acts like he just won America’s Next Top Model Guys Girls, which believe it or not, adds to the fun of the show. Because I am new to K-drama (Korean drama series), there is usually a point in the middle of the show where I am puzzled & need to rewind to know what is going on and even after doing that, I have to read a recap, but I feel like it is my fault, not the show’s, and hope that I will have fewer comprehension problems when I watch the second season. I heartily recommend it if what you’ve read so far sounds appealing, but not as light tv viewing. You’ll have to give it your full attention.
