Gay Republican sounds like an oxymoron & I’m not totally convinced that it isn’t based on the standard bearer Republicans of the 21st century unless it is based on a more libertarian model, smaller government & self-sufficiency. The problem for 2 of 3 people focused on was lack of sensitivity to others. One guy wouldn’t let his date get a word in edgewise & just kept droning on about politics (note to self: issue may not be that you are [insert issue here], but that you won’t shut up about it). One woman realized that she was a judgmental jerk & eased up on her position. One guy seemed to stay in the party to fight against anti-gay marriage initiatives otherwise no discernible Republican feelings. Real Momentum: Elephant in the Room was more reality tv show then an in depth analysis of Log Cabin Republicans.
