As someone who enjoyed Tiny Furniture, I loved Girls. I wouldn’t recommend it because for the most part, I don’t share their values & there are sexually explicit scenes & drug use. So why do I love it? Sure it is over the top, but it is honest about how messed up and lovable the same person can be-disgusting/repellent & attractive/sweet. I may not have lived in this world, but it was definitely my neighbor & I love those people. There is something beautiful about a walking disaster who just at the end of the day remains standing and takes chances after getting knocked down by their own self-sabotage or lack of sense. You just know if they get it right, they’ll be amazing.
