Where to Watch

Dark Shadows (2012) would be awesome if it wasn’t a shallow, skin deep film that cares more about surface than the potential held in such an awesome cast & the bones of an interesting story. If it wasn’t for all the things that happen to Barnabas Collins, he would seem to be as useless as the bloodless corpse that he is. The real star is Eva Green, who brings an old school Hollywood dynamic & vibe to a film bent on being a cartoon in the vein of Tom & Jerry or Coyote & the Roadrunner. Michelle Pfeiffer and Chloe Moretz are largely wasted. Skip it. Just as needy as Looper-uses every supernatural plot device known to man & I still don’t care. Someone stop Tim Burton, the real vampire, before he strikes at another beloved film or tv show.
