Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer is an excellent documentary because instead of talking heads, the film mostly provides interviews from those who were in some way a part of the story, including the titular former NY Governor. Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer’s weakness is that it implies many answers, but does not actually give any. Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer effectively gives the illusion that the viewer knows more about the way that Spitzer tried to crack down on financial institutional abuses and why the major players may have motive for exploiting his illegal extracurricular, extramarital activities to destroy him, but before things get to dry, quickly shifts focus to the fascinating prurient night life of the rich and notable. Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer is highly entertaining, somewhat informative, but ultimately mild and unchallenging to maintain access to all those interviewed for the documentary. Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer’s ultimate lesson is don’t give ammunition to your enemies. (Bill Clinton, we’re looking at you.)
