Boardwalk Empire is worth all the hype leading to the premiere of fourth season. Phenomenal acting by every one & though a period peace (early days of Prohibition), not a sepia-toned documentary style production, but teaming with life & feeling as urgent & current as any series that takes place today. Also reflects on important themes: how the violence of war impacts daily life when the soldiers return home; how much can one compromise and conduct morally questionable acts before becoming evil; is there such a thing as unredeemable or unforgivable acts; if the motivation is beneficial and the act is evil, is it good or evil. It is a HBO series so expect graphic violence, nudity & explicit sexual situations, but also expect amazing storytelling filled with nuance and well-rounded characters that asks the tough questions that people struggle with in daily life.
