I watched this anime (not my usual interest) because I thought Blood+ was one of the most riveting, innovative, well-developed, gut wrenching & addictive stories I’ve ever seen. Blood-C is kind of a reboot so the mythology is less well-thought out, the character development is shallow, some of the plot twists are obvious and in the end, I didn’t really buy it. I felt like it was too meta and more enthralled with the idea of reality tv & corruption in government tropes than the actual characters. Because the idea of Saya is innately interesting, if you decide to watch it, you won’t lose a lot of time, but not required viewing for anime or vampire lovers.
