I don’t like adorable, cuddly, innocent vampire children. Vamps shouldn’t have a physical life cycle like humans! With that said, this story did a good job explaining how that is possible, but I still wasn’t thrilled by Black Blood Brothers. There is a great, overarching story line about old bloods vs. Kowloon vamps, which are like zombies in that they can’t peacefully coexist with other vamps & humans without making them part of their bloodline-blood thirsty, impulsive creatures that threaten to consume the world. The various vamp powers are confusing & the show mistakenly assumes that the audience is well versed in it. There were cheesy themes of group solidarity with a die for the greater good, corporate speak that seemed more specifically propaganda than generic. Overall enjoyable, but ends without completing the story thus a bit disappointing.
