The Defiant Ones except more militant and with accents meets heist/espionage thriller with the MacGuffin as diamonds and the real point of the movie: only collective, forcible action can stop abuse. Some of the film moments seem ripped from the James Bond handbook, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Quantum of Solace visually alluded to a few scenes from The Wilby Conspiracy. You got your revolution in my Hollywood thriller. You got your Hollywood thriller in my revolution. A bit too goofy & easily distracted for me to think that the real point is politics or justice.
