Which Way Home is about child migrants from different countries in South America who travel through Mexico to go to US on the top of a freight train for a hypothetical better future. Even though Which Way Home has subtitles, you should still watch this devastating documentary. Which Way Home has engaging, but vulnerable subjects, is beautiful to watch and delivers a solid, cohesive narrative. Which Way Home makes it clear that there is no such thing as home for these already or soon to be traumatized children who are either leaving abusive situations or about to embark on one. Which Way Home unflinchingly acknowledges that even those kids are the lucky ones if they survive the journey. Lest you think that the children are exaggerating their plight, Which Way Home returns to the children’s home, and it is that bad. Which Way Home may not be political, but it is an incidental indictment of how each of us has failed these children.
