I love vampires and fake documentaries, but only liked Vampires. I think that the director was aiming for Man Eats Dog’s trenchant social commentary, which it briefly succeeds at doing, but Vampires becomes a comedy of social errors complete with passive aggressive rule checking. There are some violent moments and subtitles, which never deters me. What was with the vampires’ bathing routine? Not a must see, but Vampires was enjoyable.
