I liked This is 40, but it isn’t exactly a comedy or realistic. Some of the exchanges are painful and emotionally resonant. Still if you’re running out of money, maybe don’t go away for the weekend and get room service or throw catered birthday bashes. The cast has magnificent chemistry. I don’t think that I’ve seen Megan Fox in a movie before. I really love Leslie Mann and would probably watch her read a grocery list. If you like Paul Rudd, then This is 40 will satisfy all your Paul Rudd needs. As I discovered while watching the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live, Lena Dunham is funny outside of something that she didn’t make such as Girls or Tiny Furniture. If you like Judd Apatow, then you’ll like This is 40 although it is his most somber work.
