Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a comedy starring Will Ferrell as a NASCAR driver. I admired Gary Cole and Jane Lynch as the titular character’s parents. I was surprised that Amy Adams was in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, but this film was released before Enchanted, Julie & Julia, The Fighter, American Hustle and Big Eyes so that explains why she was available. I like Will Ferrell, and he seems to have found some magic in teaming up with John C. Reilly, but Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby did nothing for me except act as background noise while multitasking. I was disappointed with Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The movie felt like it was trying too hard and still did not succeed a making me laugh out loud once or capturing my attention until a kitty got involved or Molly Shannon appeared.
