Someone once said to me, “Liam Neeson?,” which I thought meant that they were asking who he is, and I responded, “LIAM NEESON!!! LIAM NEESON!!! You know TAKEN!!!” My response should tell you all that you need to know about my love for the Taken franchise. Frankly I want there to be an infinite amount of Taken sequels until the day that he dies. It is everything that is absurd and fabulous about American action movies made by French directors starring an enormous Irish actor.
Taken 3 is basically The Fugitive if Harrison Ford had a particular set of skills and an awesome voice. Taken 3 was the perfect antidote to earlier watching a crap artsy fartsy film. There were only two things that even I thought were unrealistic.

How do the Russians know where Bryan Mills is so they can push his car over the cliff? I do NOT believe that Bryan would have taken the daughter that he has consistently wanted to protect to ambush the Russians who want to kill her and left her alone with her sketchy step-father. I have nothing against Dougray Scott, who is usually the villain, but Xander Berkeley is the better actor so boooooo to recasting.
