I am automatically biased towards the Nova school of science documentary whereas that isn’t really the point of this documentary. The Star of Bethlehem isn’t made by a science expert, & there is equal amount of time devoted to astronomy as there is to the lecturer’s spiritual experience as he was doing research. I definitely think that Christians would love it. I liked it, but I would have liked a hard core astronomer there to vet his theories because I think that there is a danger for Christians to try & validate Bible events through science. It isn’t that I don’t think that it can be done, but if it is done poorly & a real expert who isn’t a believer watches it, it could further alienate a seeker. If it is true, cool, but if not, I don’t think it should be disseminated.
