Some controversy whether anti-Christian, but I think that Stake land poses an amazing question: how does a real Christian act? By proselytizing the loudest, but acting without regard to others or by sacrificing oneself constantly for strangers! Also it has vampires, a pandemic & the end of the world so always fun though very bleak & occasional WTH moments. Twilight vamps wouldn’t survive a minute! IMHO the Christians who saw this & are offended because they feel like they are cast as the human villains need to ask themselves why they think that someone who calls themselves a Christian, but is clearly a villain is the filmmaker’s view of what a Christian is, but not the character who is clearly a person who is following His way & even dresses like it & acts quite nobly! And not just her, but many characters who are less obvious as Christians, i.e. not the loudest voice. The movie even makes the point of being anti-religion & politics, but not against Jesus. Eyeroll!!! Those people MISS THE POINT.
