Even though The Silent House was better than the American remake, I still didn’t love it. It was less gimmicky & I’m convinced that seeing a scary movie in a foreign language makes it scarier because there is a delay before you understand what is going on & so your imagination goes wild during the delay. I think the vision of the director was better. From the beginning of the film, the path of the movie was very focused & clear. I even jumped at one point so good job. More in vein of Rec than the American remake, but overall, unlike the remake, this one was more honest about the vengeance part though both leave enough ambiguity about what both men did exactly though the viewer has a strong idea.
