I think that Netflix suggested, or I decided to watch Serial Killer Culture because I watched and enjoyed two documentaries directed by John Borowski: Carl Panzram: The Spirit of Hatred and Vengeance and H.H. Holmes: America’s First Serial Killer. Big mistake! I think that I must have thought that Serial Killer Culture would be about either how there is a cultural phenomenon of serial killers becoming part of mainstream entertainment or what were the cultural influences of serial killers. Nope! Serial Killer Culture is literally about people who are in some measure obsessed and collect memorabilia connected to actual serial killers and even met some. Serial Killer Culture’s most moving segment is the man who reveals that he is interested because of how people that he loved were affected by violence. If I was not a completist, I would not have finished the most two hour documentary. Skip it!
