Penny Marshall made a magnificent film–Riding in Cars with Boys is like a film response to the war on women by focusing on how instead of reacting in a healthy manner and without condemnation or fear to a girl’s natural sexual curiosity & mistakes, she is constantly punished & pushed back down despite natural talent because of society’s expectations as to what her appropriate action should be. This pressure only exacerbates the original mistake & ruins more lives. Though Drew Barrymore does a great job, Steve Zahn & the late Brittany Murphy steal the show! The strongest relationship is the female friendship
