Visually, it felt like the director wanted the human beings to look like computer animated characters, especially the character Leon, as if it was Final Fantasy. At some point, I’m going to need to rewatch every Resident Evil movie, but Resident Evil: Retribution does a fairly good job of pulling the threads together. Still it is really nothing more than one beautifully choreographed fight scene after another with a brief nod towards a female heroine being capable of maternal emotion.
