A Night in the Woods was a truly disappointing found footage film. A Night in the Woods occasionally had the visual splendor of an Ansel Adams photograph, but the pretension of an 80s style Calvin Klein ad and the worst aspects of the relationship of the Twilight franchise meets The Blair Witch Project. When the crap hits the proverbial fan, even though A Night in the Woods wants the viewers to believe the supernatural is responsible, it is just as plausible that these people did not need to go to the woods to end up at each other’s throats. There are a handful of scares in the last half hour, but they are too few and far in between. A Night in the Woods’s weak story and sketchy characters (is that her cousin or her friend) make it a chore to watch.
