Where to Watch

If you want to see a movie that is historically accurate, then don’t watch this film, especially if you are an expert in music history, which I am not. I accepted the cross dressing/gender bending as a Shakesperean narrative device as opposed to an actual event. I treated this movie like a horror movie & kept shouting at the screen whenever people inaccurately said things about what God wanted women to do. Mozart’s Sister is a beautiful period piece, a French movie & an examination of family life versus individual ambition & alors, contrast when gender comes into the equation.
