I don’t remember who suggested that I watch the Australian mockumentary, Kenny, but thank you. Other than a mini lag in attention after the first half-hour and the need for subtitles even though everyone speaks English, I went from finding it amusing to thinking that it was one of the sweetest, heart-warming and honest films about a simple, sweet, understated man. Basically there were a lot of life lessons tucked between the hilarious moments without it feeling schmalzy or fake: don’t let other people’s judgment make you stop doing what you enjoy, family before business, take care of your friends, be invested and proud in your work and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. Kenny is surprisingly terrific and a must see.
