Where to Watch

I thought that this movie was delightful & unpredictable until 54 minutes in, and then everything becomes predictable & slightly offensive in a vague, cliche way. In the beginning, Intermission holds the quirky promise of In Bruges, but descends into the hybrid Tarantino-esque mix of crime caper & romance that doesn’t quite work unless Tarantino is doing it. There were moments when I just didn’t believe that some of the characters would do something so it felt forced. Whenever I see Colm Meaney behaving badly, I always wonder where Keiko is (Star Trek reference).
