If you had any reservations about seeing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire after seeing the first book’s adaptation, throw them all away. Everything that was wrong about the first movie has been mostly fixed OR maybe I didn’t notice as many discrepancies because I haven’t read the books for over a year. Any movie that gives a line delivered by a supporting character that leaves the audience screaming in the aisles is a movie worth seeing (hint: Jenna Malone delivers the stunning line as Joanne). The cast is stunning & perfect-Amanda Plummer & Jeffrey Wright to name a few. The movie is as emotionally resonant as the book and hits all the right notes while expanding events alluded to in the book. Most of all, the movie is not afraid to embrace Katniss as the focal point in all her complexity. Must see & looking forward to the next installment.
