Hitchcock is beautiful to look at, has a great cast and a great premise. The depiction of Hitchcock’s interior life and the parallels between Alma & Hitchcock’s separate creative process hurt the film’s momentum instead of enhancing it. I think that there was enough tension in revealing the challenges of producing Psycho without casting Hitchcock as the jealous husband. On an unrelated note, I can’t see Danny Huston without thinking that he is going to vamp out like he did in 30 Days of Night. Not a must see unless you love the cast or are interested in Psycho.
