Hit and Run had great ingredients that did not equal a delicious movie. There are humorous moments, but they are not sustainable. Everyone’s favorite Parenthood Braverman, Dax Shepard, wrote and directed Hit and Run. He aims for Tarantino irreverent, but winds up being too formulaic. Hit and Run falls just above Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups era-looking for an excuse to do what he wants-drive fast cars, lovingly look at his fabulous wife Kristen Bell, hang out with a great cast of actors and act badass-while getting paid for it except most of the actors did not make a dime and did Hit and Run for free. I’m actually beginning to think that there is a Kristen Bell movie curse. I actually really loved moments in Hit and Run, and Bradley Cooper steals the show. If you don’t have a lot of time, skip it, but if you want to see Jasmine Braverman act tough and can’t resist the amazing cast, then go in not expecting much and then you will probably like it. Maybe it will become a cult favorite.
