Where to Watch

I’ve seen way too many movies & can spot intellectual pretensions from a mile away, so chaos cinema & the heavy-handed Grimm allusions turned me off. Plus within the first 5 minutes, I kind of figured everything out. Great parts, but as a whole, didn’t work for me. Cate Blanchett was the only three dimensional person: talking to herself, confident facade, obsessive behavior & felt like she was the human side/future of Hanna because only other person whom we see in complete action. Also more Olivia Williams!! Did cinema need another German deviant accompanied by skin heads? Alternatively Hanna is Blanchett without the human frailties. I liked this comment from an imdb reviewer: “they don’t understand the difference between a film exploring ideas and a film that touches on ideas.” This one touches on ideas.
