Eyes of the Mothman

Documentary

Director: Matthew J. Pellowski

Release Date: February 22, 2011

Where to Watch

I saw the AWFUL Richard Gere flick, “The Mothman Prophecies” (“Chapstick!” is not a scary line regardless of how gravelly the voice is that utters it), but because one of the worst things that I can imagine is drowning after being in a car accident on a bridge that breaks, I wanted to see this documentary. Compliment: Eyes of the Mothman is certainly a comprehensive exploration of possible theories & all strange events surrounding the phenomenon. What that means: too long, too repetitive & after the Man in Black segment, I lost interest. An “Oriental” man, a “tan skinned” man…um, what exactly is scary about them? They played with your pen in a creepy fashion, who cares? Probably just a crazy person. I see weirder on a daily basis. These are some sheltered people. Some guy disappears for several months & you believe that he was taken away by aliens. Maybe he has some open warrants. Whatever. Theoretically interesting, but in practice, a bit of a let down. Where is Robert Stack when you need him! Only needs to be 45 minutes!
