Where to Watch

I don’t know much about The Runaways–music or history, but I am vaguely familiar with Joan Jett & plan to watch the movie about them so I decided to give this documentary a chance. The creative life is very hard & it sounds like regardless of how much success you have, there are vultures ready to exploit your talent, take your money, manipulate you, abuse you psychologically, physically & sexually & that is what you leave with & you’re lucky if you leave in tact & healthy. With that said, these women are still vibrant & full of the energy that they possessed as adolescents except it is more mature & centered. I’d check them out if they played now. Older chicks can rock! Real lesson of Edgeplay: A Film About the Runaways: if your child is really talented & they want to go & follow their dreams, never let them be unaccompanied & if there is any shadiness, put your foot down. Your kid may hate you & still go nuts at the first opportunity, but at least you tried.
