If this movie had a ruthless editor & writer, Diggers could have been great. Though all the actors are good, the story only comes alive when it focuses on Lozo & Julie, a working class family struggling to survive in a dwindling industry. They should have been the main characters & Paul Rudd & Maura Tierney should have been on the periphery.
