Darfur Now is a good documentary, but a bit elementary if you already know something about Darfur. I’m not sure how I feel about the way that the documentary was organized: ambitious, but not thorough. Just when I got interested in a person’s perspective, it would switch to someone else. What was amazing is how many people got involved in the conflict because they were directly affected by a human rights atrocity. I was particularly interested in learning more about the Argentinean lawyer who is trying to prosecute those responsible for the atrocities in Darfur.
