I’m beginning to think that just because Cate Blanchett is in a movie, it will not automatically make the movie awesome, but may actually be masking the fact that the movie is not at all feminist & actually sucks! Charlotte Gray joined the resistance to get a husband. She only does one effective thing in the entire movie. Otherwise she takes care of a couple of kids & tries to reunite a father & son. It is seriously lame. She does hit the son in the face with a fist & hold a gun to a Vichy police officer’s head. Lamest resistance fighter ever! Skip it! You could literally make a movie about any of these women & it would have been awesome.
