Captain America: The First Avenger is a very classic, old school superhero movie with an amazing supporting cast. Cool twist is the meta narrative mocking the idea of show business being a useful part of the war effort, which I don’t agree with philosophically, but loved. I appreciate the one authentic nod to US racism against Asians, which was rapidly resolved with no issues (ah, race relations were awesome). Love that Hugo Weaving had a few moments to look like himself so people would know that he was in the movie. Bucky was treated like a punk! Appreciated the explanation of how Hydra existed. I wanted Cap to meet Tony immediately. Can’t wait for The Avengers!
