Disappointing–expected more because of the previews, but according to Wikipedia, “Despite the advances made by Title IX, there was no place for women surfers to compete. It was not until March 2005 that there was a women’s competition at the Banzai Pipeline. Some have suggested that the film inspired real-life change.” So kudos & for that, I will not rip Blue Crush to shreds. Wanted more surfing.
